DEPARTMENT OF CARDIAC ANAESTHESIOLOGY 

The department of Cardiac Anesthesiology has kept itself at par with international standards in terms of quality, patient safety, monitoring equipments and post operative out comes.

Cardiac Anesthesiology is a subspecialty of anesthesiology, dedicated to the perioperative care of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. The department has expanded its horizon to provide specialist services  like congenital heart disease operations, Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Intra Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) in addition to  services rendered to Cath Lab procedures and CT Scan.

The Department caters service to cardiac OT, Cath Lab, Post operative and others peripheral areas.

Cardiac OT’s are equipped with all the latest monitoring equipments in addition to  state of art anesthesia machines.

Consultant have wide and varied experience in the field ranging from neonatal cardiac surgical anesthesia to adult cardiac surgeries.

In addition to anaesthetizing cardiac patients, the  department provides services for difficult airway management, intraoperative Transesophageal Echocardiography for both adult and pediatric  patients, pulmonary artery catheterization, IABP, CPB, ECMO, PAC clinics and round the clock emergency services.

Department is active in academics and provides teaching to Nurses, In house medical officers and students pursuing Post Graduate Diploma Courses in Cardiology run by  overseas universities.
